Book Summary
After rescuing the baby dragon from Wild Island, Elmer Elevator flies homeward. A storm forces them to make an emergency landing on Feather Island, a place inhabited entirely by escaped canaries. The canaries are suffering from a terrible plague of 'curiosity' because they found a buried chest they cannot open. Elmer helps them dig up and open the chest, curing their curiosity, before the dragon flies him the rest of the way home to Nevergreen City.
