Ghosts: A Graphic Novel Reading Comprehension Questions
by Raina Telgemeier
Book Summary
Catrina (Cat) and her family move to a new town called Bahia de la Luna because the cool air is good for her younger sister, Maya, who has cystic fibrosis. Maya is excited because she heard the town is full of ghosts, but Cat is very scared of them. They meet a local boy, Carlos, who teaches them about the town's traditions, especially Dia de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead, where people celebrate and connect with the spirits of their loved ones. Cat slowly learns to understand and accept the ghosts, helping her sister and overcoming her own fears.
