Book Summary
Lyle the crocodile lives happily with the Primm family. When Mrs. Primm begins planning a birthday party for her son, Joshua, Lyle starts to feel left out. He worries that no one would want a crocodile at a party and becomes very sad, developing a mysterious illness called 'crocodilitis'. A doctor is called, but he can't find a physical problem. Eventually, Joshua realizes Lyle's sadness is because he fears he won't be included. Joshua reassures Lyle that he is a beloved member of the family and definitely invited. Lyle recovers and enjoys the party, learning about belonging and friendship.
