Book Summary
Miss Nelson's class is very badly behaved. One day, Miss Nelson disappears, and a very strict substitute teacher, Miss Viola Swamp, takes her place. The students are scared of Miss Swamp and start behaving, but they miss Miss Nelson and try to find her with the help of a detective. In the end, Miss Nelson returns, and the students realize she was Miss Viola Swamp all along, teaching them a lesson about good behavior.
