Book Summary

A.J., a boy who hates school, starts second grade at Ella Mentry School. He is surprised when his new teacher, Miss Daisy, claims she hates school too and doesn't know how to read or do math! The students end up having to teach her. When Principal Klutz promises to dress up in a gorilla suit if the school reads a million pages, A.J. and his friends read as much as they can. In the end, A.J. realizes that second grade is actually a lot of fun, and Miss Daisy was just tricking them into learning.
