Book Summary
Sam and Dave decide to dig a hole in their backyard, determined to find something spectacular. As they dig deeper and deeper, they repeatedly change direction, narrowly missing enormous, sparkling gems. Their dog, however, always notices the treasures they leave behind. Eventually, they dig so far down that the ground gives way, and they fall through. They land back in their own backyard, but with a subtle difference in their surroundings, and they are delighted, believing they have found something truly spectacular by returning home.
