Book Summary

Savvy tells the story of Mibs Beaumont, a girl from a family where everyone develops a unique magical power, called a "savvy," when they turn thirteen. Mibs is anxious about her own savvy, especially after her beloved father is hospitalized following a terrible accident. Believing her savvy will be to wake him up, Mibs embarks on a secret journey with her brothers, Rocket and Fish, and two preacher's children, Will and Bobbi, on a pink delivery bus. Along the way, Mibs discovers her savvy: she can hear people's thoughts when she touches them. This journey becomes a quest for self-discovery, understanding family, and learning to accept her unique gift while navigating the challenges of growing up and facing her fears about her father.
