Book Summary
Sylvester Duncan, a donkey, finds a magic pebble that grants wishes. When he encounters a hungry lion, he quickly wishes to become a rock to hide, but then he cannot hold the pebble to wish himself back. His worried parents search everywhere for him. Eventually, they find the rock (who is Sylvester) and have a picnic on it. Through a series of coincidences and his mother's loving wish, Sylvester is transformed back into himself, safe and sound with his family.
