Book Summary
Zackie Beauchamp, a boy who loves writing scary stories, finds a strange, gooey blob. He decides to write a story about it, but as he writes, the blob in his real life starts to grow and eat everything he describes in his story. The blob consumes his house, his sister, and almost Zackie himself. Zackie realizes that the blob feeds on stories and that he can control it with his writing. He quickly writes a new ending where the blob shrinks and disappears, saving everyone and everything it had consumed.
