The Gadget War Reading Comprehension Questions
by Betsy Duffey
Book Summary
The Gadget War tells the story of two brothers, Matthew and Adam, who have very different ideas about sharing their toys and space. Matthew, the older brother, is tired of his younger brother, Adam, playing with his gadgets and inventions. To solve this, Matthew builds a special 'gadget-proof' room. However, Adam, feeling left out and wanting to play, begins to invent his own contraptions to get into Matthew's room or interact with his things. This leads to an escalating 'gadget war' between the brothers, filled with creative and sometimes messy inventions, until they eventually learn the importance of sharing, compromise, and appreciating each other's unique talents.
