The Ruins of Gorlan Reading Comprehension Questions
by John Flanagan
Book Summary
This book tells the story of Will, a small orphan boy growing up in the ward of Castle Redmont. On Choosing Day, when other orphans are selected for Battle School or Scribe School, Will is chosen by the mysterious Ranger Halt to become his apprentice. Will learns the secret skills of a Ranger: stealth, archery, and tracking. Meanwhile, his friend Horace goes to Battle School and faces bullying. As Will trains, he and Halt uncover a dangerous plot by the evil Lord Morgarath, who is gathering an army of monstrous Wargals in the abandoned Fief of Gorlan, planning to attack the kingdom of Araluen. Will must use his new skills to help Halt stop Morgarath's treachery.
