Tooth Trouble (Ready, Freddy! #1)

Freddy Thresher, a first-grader who loves sharks, faces a big problem: he's the only one in his class who hasn't lost a baby tooth. All his classmates have signed their names on the 'Big Tooth' chart in Mrs. Wushy's room, and Freddy feels left out and embarrassed. Determined to lose a tooth, Freddy tries several comical and ill-advised methods, including tying a string to a doorknob and even trying to get punched by the class bully, Max 'The Meanie' Sellars. After his attempts lead to trouble, his mom comforts him with ice cream, where he accidentally swallows his loose tooth. Finally, the Tooth Fairy visits, and Freddy proudly gets to add his name to the 'Big Tooth' chart, learning about patience and that things happen in their own time.
